Is it true that Buddha was not always the kind-hearted sage we know today?

Yeah, it's true. Buddha wasn't always the composed and spiritual guru we imagine him to be. Actually, he went through a lot of struggles before reaching the point of enlightenment. For example, he was born in a privileged area and raised with a lot of luxuries. However, at a young age, he started to see the suffering and poverty outside of his sheltered world. This caused him to question the meaning of life and the suffering he witnessed.

As a result, Buddha left his life of privilege and studied under various spiritual mentors. However, he eventually grew disillusioned with these teachers and left to find his own path. During this journey, he experienced immense physical pain, discipline, and starvation. At some point, he even gave up food and nearly died before realizing that this wasn't the right approach.

Eventually, he discovered the power of meditation and mindfulness, which allowed him to achieve enlightenment. But this didn't happen overnight, and it wasn't a smooth road. In fact, he went through periods of doubt, confusion, and anger before finally finding peace.

I think it's inspiring to see the journey that Buddha took to become the person he is known as today. It shows that even those who appear to have it all together still struggle and face hardships. It also emphasizes the importance of perseverance, self-reflection, and mindfulness in achieving personal growth and enlightenment.
