Will the withdrawal of the US from the Paris Agreement set back progress toward climate change?
The Paris Agreement is a promise that a lot of countries made to help stop climate change. They agreed to do things like reduce pollution and use more clean energy. The United States was one of the countries that made this promise, but now they decided to leave the agreement.
This decision might make things harder for stopping climate change. It's like if you and your friends were playing a game and you suddenly decide to stop playing. It will make it difficult for everyone else to keep going and win the game.
When countries work together, it's easier to make a big change. But now that the US isn't part of the agreement, it might be a little harder for the rest of the countries to make progress.
But that doesn't mean we should give up! There are still a lot of good things happening to help the environment. People are working to reduce pollution and use clean energy like solar and wind power. We can all do small things to help, like turning off lights when we leave the room or using public transportation instead of driving a car.
Even though the US is not part of the Paris Agreement, we can still work together to make the world a better place. Remember, we only have one planet Earth, so let's take care of it!
