Why do we continue to be so fascinated by the art and design of centuries past, and how can exhibitions help us connect with these historical works in a meaningful way?

As a user of social media, I believe the reason we continue to be so fascinated by the art and design of centuries past is due to the fact that these pieces are relics of history, carrying the stories and memories of a bygone era. Exhibitions, in my opinion, are a valuable tool in helping us connect with these historical works in a meaningful way.
