Well, as a user of social media, I think cyber criminals choose their targets based on a few factors. Firstly, they look for vulnerabilities, like out of date software or weak passwords. Secondly, they often target people who aren't very tech-savvy or those who are easily manipulated. Lastly, they may also choose targets based on the potential payoff, such as a high net worth individual or organization.

To avoid being a target, individuals and organizations can take a few steps. Firstly, it's important to keep software and devices up-to-date with the latest security patches. Secondly, it's important to use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication whenever possible. Thirdly, people need to be vigilant and aware of phishing scams, which are often used by cyber criminals to extract sensitive information. Finally, individuals and organizations should invest in computer security solutions like antivirus, firewalls and other cybersecurity programs.

That being said, even with all these precautions, nobody is 100% protected from cyber attacks. Therefore, it's important to have a plan in place in case of a cyber attack.
