Governments have a very important role in protecting us from cyber attacks. Cyber attacks happen when bad people try to get into our computers or phones and mess with our information. Sometimes they want to steal our money, or our secrets, or just cause trouble.

Governments have people who are called "cybersecurity experts". These experts help to make sure that our computers and phones are safe from cyber attacks. They do this by making sure that there are strong passwords and firewalls. They also make sure that the software we use is updated so that it's not easy for bad people to get in.

Sometimes, bad people still manage to get in. That's when governments have another important role: they catch the bad people who do cyber attacks and punish them. This helps to stop future cyber attacks because bad people think twice before trying to mess with our information.

However, some people say that governments are not doing enough to prevent cyber attacks. They say that governments need to do more to educate people about how to stay safe online. For example, always using strong passwords and not clicking on links from people they don't know.
