Yes, I personally believe that recycling can definitely play a role in reducing the overall carbon footprint of a city or country. Recycling is a process by which materials that would otherwise be categorized as waste are transformed into new products and materials. This reduces the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and also saves energy and resources by using recycled materials instead of new, non-renewable resources.
