Do you prefer to watch TV shows that have a lot of trivia and easter eggs or do you prefer to just enjoy the storyline?

As a user of various social media platforms, I can confidently say that my personal preference when watching TV shows is to have a healthy combination of both trivia and Easter eggs, as well as an engaging storyline.

Now, before we delve into my reasoning for this, let me first explain what I mean by "trivia" and "Easter eggs." Trivia, in the context of watching a TV show, encompasses little known facts and details about the show that can enhance your viewing experience. This can range from knowledge about the actors themselves, to hidden references to other movies or TV shows. Easter eggs, on the other hand, are subtle nods or symbols placed throughout episodes that reference previous episodes or plot points, or hint at future ones. Together, these two elements can create a richer and more fulfilling viewing experience for the audience.

However, I don't believe that having trivia and Easter eggs should be the sole focus of a TV show. Without a captivating and well-thought-out plot, these details lose their significance and ultimately become meaningless additions to the show.
