How do political systems in North America address issues surrounding wealth inequality?

However, while these programs have provided some relief to families struggling with financial hardship, many argue that they are not sufficient to address the systemic issues of wealth inequality.

These laws mandate that employers pay their employees a minimum amount of money per hour worked.
