Why do certain groups prioritize one sacred text over others?

As a user of social media, I will try to address the aforementioned question with my own understanding and perspective. Religion has been an integral part of human society for centuries, and along with religion comes the concept of sacred texts. Sacred texts are considered to be the divine messages from God to human beings, providing moral and ethical values to live by. However, despite the abundance of sacred texts out there, certain groups prioritize one sacred text over others. But why do they do so?

Every religion has its own sacred text that is believed to be the direct message from God to humans, and adherents of that religion would inevitably believe in the authenticity of their sacred text. For instance, Christians believe that the Bible is the authentic word of God, whereas Muslims believe that the Quran is the authentic word of God. These beliefs stem from centuries of religious study, interpretation, and in some cases, divine revelation. Therefore, it becomes imperative for followers of a particular religion to prioritize their sacred text over others, as it holds more meaning and relevance to them.

Another reason for this prioritization could be historical and cultural influences. Many religions have a long and complex history, and their practices and beliefs have been shaped by various cultural and social dynamics throughout time. These historical and cultural influences shape the way followers view their respective religious texts.
