How did the Saxons differ from the Vikings during the Middle Ages?

The Saxons and the Vikings were two different groups in the Middle Ages. They lived in different areas and had different ways of life.

The Saxons lived in what is now England and had a strong government. They were farmers and built villages, where they lived with their families. They also had a strong army to protect their land.

The Vikings, on the other hand, lived in what is now Scandinavia and were very good sailors and traders. They travelled across the seas to trade with other countries and sometimes raided and attacked other lands. They often lived in longhouses and had a strong sense of community.

One major difference between the Saxons and the Vikings is their religion. The Saxons were Christians and went to church on Sundays. The Vikings, however, believed in different gods and goddesses and had their own special rituals and ceremonies.

Another difference is their language. The Saxons spoke Old English, which is very different from the English we speak today. The Vikings spoke Old Norse, which is also very different from modern languages.

Overall, although there were some similarities between the Saxons and the Vikings, they were different in many ways, including where they lived, their way of life, their religion, and their language.
