What are the worst hotels for corporate events that should be avoided at all costs?

Well, I've had my fair share of terrible experiences at some hotels when it comes to corporate events. So, based on my personal experiences and the feedback I've gathered from colleagues and peers, here are a few hotels that should definitely be avoided at all costs.

First up is the infamous "XYZ Hotel and Resort". I had the misfortune of attending a conference there, and it was a complete disaster. The meeting room was poorly equipped, the staff seemed uninterested in our needs and requests, and the catering was just plain horrible. We had stale sandwiches and lukewarm coffee for breakfast, which was disheartening as we had to pay a hefty amount for the event. Communication was also a major issue, with the hotel often failing to respond to emails and phone calls, which made planning the event more stressful than it had to be.

Next on the list is the "ABC Grand Hotel" which I had the displeasure of staying in for a company retreat. While the rooms were clean and well-maintained, the staff was blatantly rude and dismissive of our needs. When we asked for extra towels and pillows, we were met with eye-rolls and sighs from the staff. On top of that, the WiFi was spotty, and our attempts to get it fixed were met with apathy. The food was also underwhelming and overpriced, which was disappointing since the hotel's restaurant had such a great reputation in the area.

Last but certainly not least is the "LMN Conference Center". To put it mildly, the meeting facilities left much to be desired. The sound system was terrible, and we had to struggle to hear the presenters. The chairs were also uncomfortable, and there was a distinct lack of outlets, which made charging laptops and phones a nightmare. The catering was also lackluster, with limp salads and dry sandwiches that were hardly worth the money we paid for them. To make matters worse, the conference center was located in the middle of nowhere, with no restaurants or attractions nearby, which made it impossible to break away and unwind after long days of meetings.

Avoiding these hotels can save you a lot of headache and stress when planning your next corporate event or retreat. It's important to do your research ahead of time, read reviews online, and ask for recommendations from colleagues and peers to ensure that you choose the best hotel possible. Happy travels!
