This system impacted military strategy because the knights were the main fighters in battles. They wore armor and rode horses, and they were really good at fighting. They also had a code of behavior called chivalry, which meant they had to be honorable and brave.

The nobles and the kings would use the knights to fight their wars for them. They would give the knights land and money in exchange for their service. The knights would then have to protect the nobles and the peasants who worked on their land.
