Absolutely! Social entrepreneurship is booming right now and there are so many exciting start-ups emerging. One that immediately comes to mind is Glasswing Ventures. They are a venture capital firm that focuses solely on investing in companies that use technology for social impact. Their mission is to empower entrepreneurs who are solving real world problems.

One of their recent investments was in a company called rePurpose Global. They are a platform that allows individuals and businesses to take responsibility for their plastic waste by offsetting it through supporting vetted plastic waste reduction projects around the world. By investing in rePurpose Global, Glasswing Ventures is not only supporting a social issue, but also fostering a sustainable business model.

Another promising start-up is The Ocean Cleanup. Founded by Boyan Slat, The Ocean Cleanup is on a mission to rid the world's oceans of plastic. They use advanced technologies to capture plastic waste in the ocean, then utilize it for recycled products. They have already successfully started operations in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, and plan to expand globally to clean up other major sea areas in the future.

Finally, I have to mention Bempu. They have created a low-cost, infant temperature monitoring wristband for babies in developing countries. This technology not only helps detect hypothermia, a major cause of infant deaths in developing countries, but it also alerts caregivers when a baby's temperature has fallen below a safe threshold. By addressing an urgent health issue in a cost-effective way, Bempu is making a real difference in the lives of families around the world.

In conclusion, social entrepreneurship is a space that is constantly evolving and growing. The three examples I've mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg and I can't wait to see what other exciting ventures the future holds.
