Are there disparities in homelessness rates among different racial and ethnic groups in the U.S.?

Hey there folks! Are you curious about the different racial and ethnic groups when it comes to homelessness rates in the US? Well, let me tell you, the answer is a resounding YES!

According to a report by the National Alliance to End Homelessness, certain groups are disproportionately affected by homelessness. African Americans, for example, make up just 13% of the US population, but represent a whopping 40% of the homeless population. Meanwhile, Hispanic/Latino individuals make up 17% of the population, but account for 22% of the homeless population.

So why are these disparities happening? There are a lot of factors at play, including historical and systemic racism, discrimination in housing and employment, and access to resources such as education and healthcare.
