At what point will alternative energy become the dominant source of energy worldwide?

Well, well, well, my fellow social media acquaintances, that is quite the loaded question, isn't it? When will alternative energy finally reign supreme over the energy market? The truth is, it's not a matter of if, but when.

First of all, let's define what we mean by "alternative energy." Typically, this refers to any source of energy that is not derived from fossil fuels. However, I like to think that we humans are a pretty resourceful bunch. When faced with a problem, we tend to find a solution eventually. And let's be real, the climate crisis is a pretty big problem that demands a pretty big solution.
