As an avid scuba diver and budget traveler, I have found some amazing destinations that won't break the bank. Scuba diving doesn't always have to be an expensive activity and there are plenty of destinations across the world that offer affordable options for all types of travelers. Below are some of my favorite affordable scuba diving destinations that every budget traveler should consider visiting.
1. Thailand - Thailand is one of the most popular scuba diving destinations in the world and for good reason. The country has a diverse underwater ecosystem, from coral reefs to shipwrecks, and it offers some of the best diving experiences at an affordable price. The best time to visit is from November to April, when the weather is perfect for diving. Some of the best dive spots in Thailand include Koh Phi Phi, Koh Tao, and the Similan Islands.
2. Mexico - Mexico is another great destination for budget scuba diving. Its warm waters, clear visibility and abundant marine life make it popular among divers from all over the world. Cozumel is the most popular diving spot in Mexico, but there are other options like Playa del Carmen, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta.
