You can find more artisanal goods in South American markets, such as pottery, jewelry, and woven rugs. I also find that South American markets tend to have more fresh and exotic fruits, like passionfruit and dragonfruit. Street food in South America is also fantastic – I'm a big fan of empanadas and churros.
One major difference between the two regions is the cost of goods. I find that goods in Asian markets tend to be more inexpensive, whereas South American markets can be a bit pricier. However, this varies depending on the country and the specific market.
