What is the most innovative zoo or aquarium in terms of design and exhibits?
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure which zoo or aquarium is the most innovative in terms of design and exhibits. I've been to a few different ones over the years, and they all seem to have their own unique things going on.
One place that comes to mind as being pretty cool, though, is the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. I visited there a few years back and was really impressed by the way they showcased their aquatic life. They had some massive tanks that gave you a pretty up-close-and-personal view of everything from whale sharks to manta rays to giant groupers.
But beyond just the exhibits themselves, I remember thinking that the overall layout of the aquarium was really nicely done. There were a bunch of different sections that each focused on a different geographical area (like the Pacific Northwest, or the Indian Ocean), and each one had its own set of animals and landscapes to explore.
Another place that I've heard great things about is the San Diego Zoo. I haven't been there myself, but I've seen pictures and videos and it looks pretty amazing. They've got a huge range of animals, from tigers to elephants to koalas, and apparently they've got a really nice mix of indoor and outdoor exhibits to explore.
All that said, I'm sure there are plenty of other zoos and aquariums out there that are doing equally cool stuff. I'm definitely no expert on the topic, but from my limited experience, I'd say the Georgia Aquarium is a good bet for a really interesting day out.
