The day of a serf began before dawn, usually around 4 or 5 a.m. They would start by preparing breakfast for their family, which often consisted of simple and basic foods like porridge, bread, or soup. After breakfast, the serfs would head out to the fields where they would work tirelessly until sunset. Their day was divided into two main work periods, with a short break for lunch in between.

During the spring, serfs would spend most of their time preparing their fields for planting. This involved clearing the land, plowing the soil, and sowing the seeds. They would also tend to their animals, including cows, pigs, and sheep. Summer was the busiest season for serfs, as they cultivated their crops and harvested their hay for the winter. Autumn was a time for gathering crops, preparing food for the winter ahead, and repairing their homes and farm tools.

The life of a serf was hard, and they had to work long hours every day regardless of the weather.
