How does the concept of neoliberalism relate to the current state of poverty in the United States?

Well, neoliberalism is a big word that refers to an economic policy that says that the government should have less control over the economy and that businesses should be free to do whatever they want in order to make money.

The problem with this way of thinking is that it often leads to more poverty, because businesses are only interested in making money and they don't always care about the people who work for them or who live in the communities they operate in. They might cut jobs or move factories to places where they can pay workers less, for example.

In the United States, we are seeing a lot of poverty and inequality right now. This is partly because of neoliberal policies that have been in place for a long time. For example, many people have lost their jobs because companies have moved factories overseas, where they can pay workers less. And even though the economy has been growing in recent years, most of the benefits have gone to the wealthiest people, while middle-class and poor people have been left behind.

So, in short, the concept of neoliberalism is linked to the current state of poverty in the United States because it has led to policies that favor businesses over people, and this has contributed to inequality and poverty.
